Balvinder brings extensive experience leading business, and technology projects in Spain and internationally to Vertaeon Team. He is also an Adjunct Professor and Business Mentor at IE Business School and a qualified trainer, giving sessions on Leadership, Innovation Culture, Mediation/Conflict Resolution Skills & Entrepreneurship.
He is CEO at Learning Experience/ Ed Tech Company Unfoldwork.com and a Founding Partner, Board Member and Director at BOOSTER Space Industries and AERDRON, innovative international New Space/Aerospace projects/consultancies. In 2015 he became a Business Mentor at “The Founder Institute”, one of the largest and most powerful start up networks in the world.
He is a Business & Finance graduate who also studied a Masters in Mediation from the University of London. He has recently authored a book called “Going Digital” (2022 for Pearson group) about the Inner Secrets of Successful Business Innovation and Digital Change.
Jaret brings expertise in modern statistical applications to complex business problems to the Vertaeon team.
Jaret is currently an assistant professor at the University of North Texas where he oversees the office of research consulting. Recently he has provided statistical guidance to state organizations, led national reports, and provided expertise to state and national politicians in areas of school finance and policy. His statistical expertise extends to machine learning applications, econometrics, and advanced statistical modelling of organizational data. He also has extensive expertise in writing, administering, and analyzing survey data to provide business solutions.
He received his PhD from Purdue University and completed a Postdoc at Duke University where he applied statistical techniques to examine policies and financial trends.
Ed brings extensive experience in the healthcare sector and supply chain management to support Vertaeon’s business development efforts in the Pharmaceutical and healthcare areas.
Ed Chiang spent 20 years of his career in the MFG and Global Supply Chain field (with strong emphasis in portfolio and supply chain risk management). He worked for 3M Company, Johnson and Johnson, Medtronic, and Accuray. He has managed supply chains that exceed $1B in annual spend across Five (5) continents. One of Ed’s passions is career development for organizations and he founded My Career Assist in 2019 to bring innovation to career planning in corporations, academic institutions, and the US Military.
Ed has a MS and BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, and a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Ed lives in North Florida with his wife and three children.
As Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Rekha has brought business insights to the forefront, in envisioning and executing the development of risk, sustainability and market analytics products. She leads overall market development and product deployment at Vertaeon.
Rekha has extensive leadership experience in the implementation of enterprise risk and sustainability initiatives and CEO/Board reporting from her tenures at Vertaeon and at NV Bekaert SA. At Bekaert, Rekha also managed global teams in corporate strategy projects including growth opportunity identification, JV/ M&A assessments, and LT scenario planning, for multiple $1Bn+ businesses.
Prior to this, Rekha worked for over 10 years at Lyondell (and its Arco/Millennium subsidiaries) in marketing, e-business and engineering roles of increasing responsibility. Her cross-functional leadership resulted in multiple new product developments, and Chairman’s award at Millennium for modeling, optimization and yield improvement.
Rekha received Bachelors in chemical engineering (with Distinction), MS in chemical engineering from Auburn Univ. at Auburn, AL and MBA from the Wharton School at Univ. of Pennsylvania. She was part of the alumni advisory group for Wharton IGEL initiative and is a frequent speaker at national conferences.
Cristian brings 19 years of experience in energy management and energy audits to the team. While supporting Vertaeon as a Subject Matter Expert, Cristian holds a position as an Asst. Director of Industrial Assessment Center and Mobile Energy Lab at University of Florida.
Cristian has created and directed Energy Offices for governments and universities in Latin America and the US and has performed over 300 energy audits to industries in the US, including NASA (Cape Canaveral), and in Latin America. He is a life member of the Association of Energy Engineers (since 2007).
Cristian holds a Ph.D. degree in Quantum Chemistry, and a Certificate in Chemical Physics, both from the University of Florida (1998). He has written 250 peer reviewed technical reports to the US-DOE, and over 30 papers in international journals, 5 chapters in books, an Energy Management Handbook for the Chilean Canned Food industry.
David brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and business unit management in the US and EU, to support Vertaeon’s business development efforts.
David started his career in Europe in Procurement at Aerospatiale (now Thales Alenia Space), and moved to Product Management at Valeo, a major automotive equipment manufacturer. He then moved to Accenture in Atlanta as Global Marketing Manager for a start-up project on E-commerce before joining Bekaert as General Manager to grow the Combustion Technology division for the Americas. After 7 years in Boston as Vice President for Zehnder America starting-up the Heat and Energy Recovery Ventilation Business Unit, he is now holding a Senior Management position with Circor, a major flow control solution provider for the industrial sector.
David holds a Master in Management from a leading business school in France (Skema) and continued executive training in Harvard.
While supporting Vertaeon on survey deployments and data transformation, Sudipta holds a position as a faculty and Director of the Masters in Statistical Science program at the Department of Statistical Science, Duke University. Prior to Duke she was an Associate Professor at the Institute for Advanced Analytics and Dept. of Forest Biomaterials at NC State University.
She joined the nation’s first MS in Advanced Analytics program at NC State in 2008 and was instrumental in the development of the Marketing Analytics curriculum. She has worked with numerous industry partners, government and non-profit organizations on a variety of business analytics projects. She has advised over 300 graduate students and presented at many international and national conferences.
Sudipta holds a Bachelors in Science in Physics and Education, and a PhD in Marketing of Forest Products from Pennsylvania State University.
Russel brings 16+ years of start-up, product and process innovation, and client development experience to the team. He has founded two other entrepreneurial ventures.
At RE Hodges LLC, Russel has developed Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) tools for in-line, in-situ, and lab-scale monitoring for process control. He has also led the development and commercialization of robust linear and non-linear analysis tools and neural network optimization routines for large volumes of data. Russel has designed and developed multiple hardware and software solutions, installed 50 online and bench-top Near Infra Red (NIR) process analyzers at ~25 manufacturing locations in the US and EU catering to the Paper and Packaging industry.
Prior to RE Hodges LLC, Russel founded Eagle Technologies to customize software and database development catering to CRM (customer relationship management) module development.
Russel holds two BS degrees (Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics), MS in Electrical Engineering, & PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, Auburn, AL.
Sig Mosley is the Managing Partner of Mosley Ventures, a venture fund investing in early stage technology startups in the Southeast. Widely regarded as “The Godfather of Angel Investing”, a title Sig Mosley earned as president of Imlay Investments, Inc. Mr. Mosley serves on the board of directors of several private companies. He also serves as the Venture Capitalist in Residence at the ATDC. In addition, Mr. Mosley is a director of The Imlay Foundation, Inc. and serves as Vice Chairman of Imlay Investments, Inc.
Mr. Mosley is also a director of GATV and he serves on the investment committee of Gray Ghost DOEN Social Ventures Coöper and on the GRA Venture Fund Board. Mr. Mosley is managing member of Flashpoint Investors, LLC.
Sig was inducted into Georgia Technology Hall of Fame in 2007.
Sig received the Lifetime Achievement award from TiE in 2011 and from the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2018. He also received the John Imlay Leadership award in 2010 from The Technology Executives Roundtable.
Sig is the 2012 Speaker of the Year award recipient from Emory Pelham Education Foundation. Mr. Mosley received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University in 1968. Hobbies include coin collecting, wine and reading.
Vipin brings over 14 years of corporate experience and over 5 years of start-up experience to the team. He co-founded Vertaeon in 2011 to operationalize resource conservation in corporations and is involved in an advisory capacity in Vertaeon’s client and investor development. Vipin is currently the Vice President at NCASI Inc., a think tank associated with the Forest Products Industry in US and Canada.
Prior to Co-founding Vertaeon, Vipin was the Director of Technology and Business Development at innovative graphene start-up Vorbeck Materials, near Washington DC. He was responsible for leading the development of novel conductive inks using Graphene, filing 10+ patents, and securing supply agreements from large multinationals in the US and EU. Prior to this role, Vipin served as Project Leader at NCASI Inc., where he led cross-functional teams across multiple companies. He has interfaced with EPA and State/Federal Regulatory agencies in implementing industry-wide capital savings over $200 million.
Vipin advises start-up companies and private equity (PE) firms on technology and financial due-diligence. Along with Prof. Bulent Gultekin at the Wharton School, Vipin developed new financial valuation methodologies for distressed technology companies in the materials and alternative energy sectors.
Vipin is a co-inventor in 8 US and International Patents. He holds a BS (with honors) in Chemical Engineering, PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, Auburn, AL and an MBA from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
Professor Gultekin has been on the faculty of the Finance department of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania since 1981. He was the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, Chief Advisor to Prime Minister Turgut Özal, and President for Mass Housing and Public Participation Administration in Turkey. He served as the Chief Advisor to the Minister of Privatization in Poland during 1989-1991. He was also a policy advisor to the governments of Indonesia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, and the Russian Federation. He served as a senior advisor to many agencies in the public sector such as USAIS and European Bank of Restructure and Development, and has been a consultant for many international firms.
Professor Gutelkin received a BSc. in mechanical engineering from Robert College, an MBA from Bogazici University, and a PhD from the Wharton School.
Baudouin has been Managing Partner of Interel in Belgium since 2007. He advises clients in a variety of industries on public affairs, corporate communications and crisis communications assignments. Before joining Interel, Baudouin was the CEO of the Belgian retailers’ federation Comeos and prior to that, chief economist of the Federation of Entreprises in Belgium (FEB). Earlier in his career, Baudouin held management responsibilities with credit insurer Euler-Hermes and Philips.
He started his career at the National Bank of Belgium. He is a professor of strategic communications at the University of Louvain, and has been member of the board of BEL20 listed companies Bekaert and Cofinimmo.
Baudouin holds a MA in Economics and a degree in Philosophy, both from the University of Leuven, as well as a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
Lady Judge is a corporate director who previously enjoyed a successful international career as a law firm partner, senior executive, chairman and non executive director in both the private and public sectors and is highly regarded for her governance expertise.
In 2015, Lady Judge assumed the role of National Chair of the Institute of Directors (U.K.), a representative organization for directors with approximately 38,000 members in the U.K. and elsewhere. Lady Judge previously served as Chairman of the Board of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (from 2004 to 2010), prior to which she was a Board member (since 2002). In addition, Lady Judge formerly served as a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission and Deputy Chairman of the U.K. Financial Reporting Council. In 2010, she was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her contributions to the financial services and nuclear industries.
Lady Judge has a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from NYU School of Law.
Suhas Apte is a senior executive with rich diverse experience covering many facets of business management. Suhas has developed a valuable global perspective, extensive CPG industry experience and sustainability credentials based on a broad career path working in Asia-Pacific, developing markets, Europe and the United States.
Suhas held several executive positions at the Kimberly-Clark Corp. including Global Sustainability Officer, President of Family Care Europe and Vice President of Baby & Child Care Business for Emerging Markets. He is a partner in the Blue Earth Network, a member of the Forum For the Future North America advisory team, and a board advisor to Vertaeon, an Operational and Sustainability Analytics firm, and Intelligent Energy Optimizer, a LED lighting company. He is also on the boards of social NGO Global Giving, and EPI Breads, an artisan bakery company.
He is a Mechanical Engineer from India, with MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
